NEWS and INFO UPDATE:

August, 2011 - Teodora & Adrian, owners of The Greeley Inn, will be taking a well deserved vacation from Sept. 12th through Oct. 5th, and The Greeley Inn will be closed during that period.  The band's Sept. 13th, 20th, & 27th plus Oct. 4th rehearsals will be held at alternate interim sites.  Watch our "Gigs & Rehearsals" page for latest info.  (HGG)

Dec. 2010 - - - Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a Joyous Holiday Season to all!  '10 was a great year for the Moonlight On The Poconos Big Band, and 2011 promises to be even better.  Thanks to all our Groupies and supporters, members, and our terrific resource pool of backup & substitute members.  (HGG)

June 20 - The band's General Manager, Hank Grilk, has returned from ~ 9 weeks of successful Proton Therapy Treatment for prostate cancer at the University of Florida (Jacksonville) Proton Therapy Institute - WELCOME HOME Hank & Ann Marie!

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh - - - Bad weather hits us again!  Also absenteeism (colds and other conflicts).  So, tomorrow night's postponed Valentine Gig thingie is CANCELLED again.  Next week, March 2nd, we'll be celebrating the band's 1st anniversary - so come on out and enjoy the fun.  (HGG)

OUCH!  The weather/snow has blasted us again!  Tonight's Valentine Gig has been CANCELLED and postponed until next Tuesday, 2/23/10... we'll give it another shot next week and see what happens.  Please pass the word...  (HGG)

The weather report for today looks GREAT!  So, the gig at the Gazebo in Hawlay is ON.  Forecast for this evening in Hawley is clear skies with temperatures from 78F at 7:00 to 72F at 9:00... great day for a summer swing concert in the park!  (HGG)

The band's next public performance will be at The Gazebo in Hawley, PA on Tuesday, July 28th - see "GIGS & REHEARSALS" page for details.  Also, visit The Greeley Inn and check out their new Grand Ballroom!  There's even a stage for the band (yeah, we all fit!).  Come out on a Tuesday night when we're rehearsing and enjoy some big band swing music, eat some of Teoadora's great buffet, and dance up a storm.  Check our GIGS & REHEARSAL schedule for rehearsal dates.  (HGG)

CONFIRMED:  The Moonlight On The Poconos Big Band will be performing on Tuesday evening, May 19th, at the Brighten at Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home on Golf Park Drive in Lake Ariel, PA, 18436.  This is a 90 minute concert gig starting at 7:30PM and running to ~ 9:00PM.  Guests are welcome - contact the Brighten at Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home at 570-698-5647, and ask for Diane (Activity Director).
